We built Floviu
because focusing shouldn't feel like
a fight with yourself
Your thoughts won't slow down. You open an app without
thinking. Minutes disappear before you even realize it.
We believe focus should feel calmer, not harder.
Built around how focus
actually feels
We didn't start by building features. We started by listening to how people experience focus.
“I literally can't concentrate.”
“I open apps without realizing it.”
“I don't know where the last 30 minutes went.”
“I don't know why I can focus some days and not others.”
Those experiences shaped Floviu.
The Focus Timer
When starting feels impossible.
Soundscapes
When your mind won't slow down.
Focus Protection
When distractions happen automatically.
Focus Insights
When you don't know what works.
Focus World
When your progress feels invisible.
A calmer way
to focus
Floviu follows a few simple principles.
- No punishment
- No guilt for breaking a streak
- No complicated system to learn
Create the right environment.
Understand your attention. Grow into your focused self.
Your effort shouldn't disappear
when the timer ends
Traditional focus timers reset when the session ends. Your effort shouldn't.
You focused for 30 minutes. The timer ends. Tomorrow, it feels like you're starting from zero again.
That's why we created Focus World. A place where every focused session leaves something behind.
Small focused moments slowly become something you can actually see.
Because progress isn't always obvious in real life.
Sometimes you need to see how far you've come.
Privacy matters to us
Focus data can reveal a lot about how you spend your time.
We believe it should be treated with care.
Stored in the EU
Your focus sessions and primary application data are securely stored on servers located within the European Union.
Built with privacy in mind
We use industry-standard security measures and build Floviu with privacy and GDPR requirements in mind.
Your attention isn't the product
We don't sell your data, build advertising profiles, or share your focus history with third parties.
Built by a small team in Budapest, Hungary.
Guided by the people who use it.
Every feature starts with real experiences.
- The distracted days
- The unexpectedly great focus sessions
- The features that help
- And the ones that don't
We want to learn from how people actually focus and keep building
a calmer, more personal way to protect attention.
Every session is a small step.
We're excited to take the next one with you.
2023
TheBusinessDive
begins
We started TheBusinessDive with one goal: helping people find productivity tools that genuinely improve the way they work. Over the following years, we tested around 100 productivity apps every year, exploring everything from focus and note-taking to project management, calendars, and time tracking.
2025
The idea for Floviu
After years of testing productivity apps, we started imagining a calmer, more personal way to help people focus. We believed people didn't need another timer—they needed a better relationship with their attention.

Listening before
building
Before designing Floviu, we spent months reading thousands of conversations about focus, distractions, and productivity. The struggles people shared became the foundation for every feature we built.

The first Floviu

The first version of Floviu came to life, bringing together a Focus Timer, Soundscapes, Focus Protection, Insights, and the first version of Focus World.

We'd love to hear
from you
Whether you have a question, found a bug, want to share an idea, or just want to tell us how your focus is going — we read every message.
Many of Floviu's best ideas have come directly from the people using it. Your experience matters.
One session.
One small step.
Focus isn't something you find. It's something you build.
